Prepare the Seasoning
- In a small bowl, mix together paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, black pepper, and salt to create the blackened seasoning.
Season the Salmon
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Rub the blackened seasoning generously over both sides of each fillet.
Cook the Salmon
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add the salmon fillets, skin-side down, and cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
- Carefully flip the fillets and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and has a blackened crust.
Serve
- Remove the salmon from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy with your favorite sides.
