Ingredients

Steak and Cheese Filling
  • 1 lb Flank steak or sirloin
  • 4 oz Blue cheese crumbled
  • 2 cups Arugula fresh
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil for cooking
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Black pepper to taste
Bread
  • 8 slices Ciabatta bread or your choice of bread

Method

Prepare the Steak
  1. Season the flank steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  3. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
Assemble the Panini
  1. Layer the sliced steak, crumbled blue cheese, and arugula between two slices of ciabatta bread.
  2. Repeat for the remaining sandwiches.
Grill the Panini
  1. Preheat the panini press. Grill each sandwich for about 3-4 minutes or until the bread is golden and crispy and the cheese is melted.
  2. Remove from the press and slice in half to serve.
