Ingredients
  

Base and Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Blueberry Filling
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Method
 

Prepare the Base
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form the base.
Make the Blueberry Filling
  1. In a separate bowl, combine blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Gently mix to coat the blueberries.
  2. Spread the blueberry mixture evenly over the base in the baking pan.
Bake and Serve
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.
