Ingredients
  

Cake
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk whole or 2%
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Frosting
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
Decoration
  • 2 large marshmallows for bunny's eyes
  • 1 small black icing for pupils
  • 1 large pink candy for nose

Method
 

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round cake pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow cakes to cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Frosting and Assembly
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and milk, mixing until smooth.
  2. Once cakes are completely cool, place one layer on a serving platter and spread frosting on top.
  3. Place the second layer on top and frost the entire cake.
  4. Press shredded coconut onto the frosting to cover the cake.
  5. Cut the cake into a bunny shape, using the second layer for the ears.
  6. Decorate with marshmallows for eyes, black icing for pupils, and pink candy for the nose.
