Ingredients
  

Casserole Base
  • 1 lb ground beef lean
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cups pasta elbow macaroni or similar
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 oz
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink.
  3. Drain excess fat and stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes and beef broth to the skillet, then bring to a boil.
  5. Stir in the pasta and cook for about 8-10 minutes until the pasta is al dente.
Baking
  1. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
