Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 1 pound Ground beef 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio recommended
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce optional
Burger Assembly
  • 4 buns Hamburger buns toasted
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese optional
  • 1 cup Lettuce shredded
  • 1 tomato Tomato sliced
  • 1 cup Pickles sliced
  • 4 tablespoons Ketchup to taste
  • 4 tablespoons Mustard to taste

Method
 

Prepare the Patties
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
Cook the Patties
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  3. If using cheese, add a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill until golden brown.
  2. Place each patty on a bun and top with lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard as desired.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade hamburgers!
