Ingredients

Cake
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix plus ingredients required on the box
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
Pudding Filling
  • 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk
Toppings
  • 1 cup caramel sauce for drizzling
  • 1 cup whipped cream for topping
  • 4 bars Snickers bars chopped
  • 1/2 cup crushed peanuts for garnish

Method

Prepare the Cake
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
Add Pudding
  1. While the cake is cooling, prepare the chocolate pudding by whisking the pudding mix with milk until thickened.
  2. Once the cake has cooled slightly, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake.
  3. Pour the prepared pudding over the cake, ensuring it fills the holes.
  4. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top of the pudding.
Finish and Serve
  1. Spread whipped cream over the top of the cake.
  2. Sprinkle chopped Snickers bars and crushed peanuts on top.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Slice and serve chilled.
