  • 2 cups watermelon, diced seedless
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Watermelon
  1. In a blender, puree the diced watermelon until smooth.
Cook the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the watermelon puree, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally, and cook for about 20 minutes until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool before using.

Notes
