  • 1.5 cups water room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Method
 

Making the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add the water gradually while mixing until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and let it rise for 1 hour at room temperature.
Shaping and Second Rise
  1. After the dough has risen, turn it out onto a floured surface and gently stretch it into a rectangle.
  2. Fold the dough over itself in thirds, then shape it into a loaf.
  3. Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking the Bread
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and hollow sounding when tapped.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
